Dr Alison Johnstone MBChB MRCGP DFSRH PGCME

Dr Ali Johnstone founded Deanbrook Private General Practice in 2015 after working as an NHS General Practitioner for over 10 years. She graduated from Sheffield University in 1996 before joining the Royal Army Medical Corps. In 2004, she left the Army and worked as an NHS General Practitioner in the Basingstoke area, becoming a GP partner in a local practice for 3.5 years. Dr Johnstone has developed special interests in women’s health, family planning and palliative care and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Her qualifications include a diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCME). Dr Johnstone also has substantial knowledge and experience in the field of Travel Medicine.

Dr Felicity Groom BM DCH MRCGP PGCME DipBSLM IBLM

Dr Felicity Groom qualified from Southampton Medical School in 2005 and has more than 15 years’ experience in both NHS and private General Practice, allowing her to support patients with a wide range of health concerns. She takes time to listen to patients, answer questions and work collaboratively to find the most appropriate solutions for their health. She has a particular interest in Lifestyle Medicine, Paediatrics and Nutrition, and believes in combining lifestyle approaches with conventional medical care to help prevent and manage chronic disease while supporting long-term health and wellbeing. Dr Groom is passionate about her work and appreciates the opportunity to make a positive difference in her patients’ lives.

Dr Kate Bailey BSc BMBS MRCGP DRCOG

Dr Kate Bailey has been working as a GP in the NHS since 2010. She graduated from Durham University in 1996 with a BSc in Psychology, and went on to study medicine at Nottingham University, graduating in 2007. She worked in the Nottingham area until 2017 when she relocated to Wiltshire. She currently works two days a week as an NHS GP as well as her work at the Candover. She has a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health. She is interested in the interface between mind and body, mental health and women’s health. She is also a proponent of healthy living and how that enhances modern medicine.

Dr Alison Colvin MBChB BSc PG DipSEM

Dr Alison Colvin qualified from Dundee Medical School in 2012 with an MBChB and an intercalated BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience. She carried out her junior doctor training in Hampshire and also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath. She completed her General Practice training in 2019. Dr Colvin has an interest in expedition medicine and, prior to having a young family, was part of the medical team assisting in a multi-stage ultramarathon in the Gobi Desert, Mongolia, and in treks in Indonesia. More recently, she has qualified in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants, having completed the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare competencies.

Dr Davina Woodward BMBS MRCGP DFSRH

Dr Davina Woodward is an experienced NHS General Practitioner with over seven years of clinical practice, bringing a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care. She developed a particular passion for Women’s Health and Sexual Health early in her career and has since built extensive expertise across these areas. After qualifying from Peninsula Medical School in 2008, Dr Woodward went on to complete her GP training in 2016. She has continued to expand her professional knowledge through further qualifications, including a Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. In addition, she holds a Health Coaching certificate from the National Society of Health Coaches, reflecting her dedication to supporting patients in making sustainable, positive lifestyle changes.

Jo Winkworth ‍ ‍Practice Manger

Jo Winkworth has been an integral part of the Deanbrook team since the very beginning, bringing over a decade of dedication, warmth, and exceptional organisational skill to the practice. Since joining in February 2016 after returning to the UK from the US, Jo has become a familiar and much-loved presence for both patients and colleagues alike. Now serving as Practice Manager, Jo plays a central role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic. Her calm, efficient approach and genuine care for patients help create a welcoming and seamless experience from the very first point of contact. Whether coordinating appointments, supporting the team, or assisting patients with their queries, Jo is known for going above and beyond.

Georgia Gundry ‍ ‍Private Secretary

With five years of experience in the Civil Service, Georgia began her career as a Customs Officer with Border Force before progressing to a Dog Handler role within the Ministry of Defence. Throughout her service, she developed strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a calm, professional approach in high-pressure environments. She has now joined the Deanbrook practice as a Private Secretary, where she supports both clinicians and patients with efficiency and care. Working part-time on Mondays and Fridays, she is available to assist patients with enquiries, appointments, and administrative support, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
